The SewEzi Lightbox Insert converts your SewEzi Portable Table into a lightbox — simply place a light source underneath the table and pop the clear acrylic insert in the machine cutout. No separate lightbox needed, no extra equipment to find space for. It opens up a whole range of techniques that are difficult or impossible without a light source.
What Can You Use It For?
Appliqué — trace shapes accurately onto fabric or fusible webbing with the light showing clearly through
Foundation paper piecing — see your paper piecing lines clearly through fabric for precise placement
Tracing patterns and templates — transfer pattern markings, quilting designs, or embroidery templates directly onto fabric
Stained glass quilting — position and trace lead line designs accurately onto fabric
A light source is not included — a folding craft light or LED light pad placed on the machine tray underneath the insert works well. The Halo Go Magnifying Lamp is a particularly good option as its rechargeable battery means no trailing cables.
Important: the Lightbox Insert does not completely fill the gap in your table — it is designed specifically as a lightbox. If you want a smooth flat work surface for cutting, marking, or desk use, you need the Solid Insert instead.
Make sure you select the Portable version — Lightbox Inserts are also available for the SewEzi Grande and the two versions are not interchangeable.
